The unplanned ones are my favorite.
I've never been great at stiff, everybody-look-here portraits. The photos I actually love are the belly laughs, the sleepy newborn yawns, and the way your toddler reaches for you when they think no one is watching.
Some sessions happen in your living room with a days-old baby asleep on someone's chest. Others happen outside while the kids run around and mostly ignore me. Either way, you walk away with how this season actually felt, before it turns into the next one.
